PHOTOS: Back to La Paz. 06/16/06

People (kids and adults) seriously fancy up their bikes here.

Heading out.

The Patrol broke down briefly, but we got her goin’ again.

“Obeja” is the word for sheep. Sounds like “obey,” doesn’t it? Interesting…

The greenhouses where they grow lettuce and such.

Lake Titicaca, in full color.

We stopped to take pictures of the lake, but this was pretty too.

Banditas.

I’d like to go swimming in that lake, but my prof. says it’s “three degrees from hypothermia.” Darn.

The inscription on the back of this bus reads, “Still the King.” Yup.

That truck on the left is filled with soldiers. A bit intimidating.

El Alto, La Paz’ crazy younger sister.

Rock + Solstice = ROCKSTICIO! Alright.

Nestle has this road littered with “Nido” houses, as we call them. I don’t really get it.

Dirty, dusty girl, about to take a shower.
